Case # 10 - Bread and Butter with a Bonus...

Here is a case which illustrates the reason why clinicians are required to submit the so-called "routine" or "low-yield" cases to pathology for examination - sometimes they contain surprises! This is a 77-year-old woman with an inguinal hernia, the lumen of which contains the findings pictured below. Also, the fact that she has regional adenopathy and peritoneal implants is worth mentioning as well...
